Our Story

She came to London from Hong Kong to in 1976 at the age of just thirteen, and at the age of sixteen, she was forced to leave home by her mother with just £1 in her pocket.

Georgina soon found a job as a Mother’s Help, and she cooked, cleaned and looked after two children. Despite the difficult work and long hours, she was grateful to have a roof over her head and food to eat.

She then went into nursing, but Georgina’s strong desire to study Psychology and Sociology led her to a change in career. She studied A Levels in these subjects whilst washing dishes in a pizza restaurant in Wimbledon to support herself through her studies. Eventually, Georgina’s work paid off and she got the grades to study a degree in Psychology & Sociology in Liverpool.

Within just five years, Georgina went on to obtain a post-graduate foundation and then post-graduate diploma in House Management from Salford University, plus an MSc module in Leadership management from Leeds University.

After finishing her degrees, Georgina made the decision to stay in Liverpool where she has resided ever since.
