Made by Georgina Tang after her son developed psoriasis
Georgina Tang has been making skincare by hand in Cheshire since 2013. She didn't start with a business plan, she started with her son.
When her son Alessio developed severe psoriasis during chemotherapy, she looked for something gentle enough for his skin. Nothing on the market was good enough. So she sat in her kitchen and made him a shea butter balm herself. His skin was clear within a month. That balm became YNNY.

Georgina formulated the Elixir serum in 2015 and supplied it on a white-label basis. A customer rebranded it, put their name on it, and told the press they had invented it. In 2023 the UK High Court ruled that was false. The Court of Appeal upheld the ruling in 2023. Georgina is the original formulator — several judges confirmed it. The formula hasn't changed.
