Cancer Research UK
Posted on March 25 2021
Yours Naturally Naturally Yours Limited is nominating Cancer Research UK as our chosen charity for this year. As part of our continued fundraising efforts, we donated £500 to kick-start our campaign for Cancer Research UK and now raised over £1000. In particular, we have chosen to support breast cancer research as it is a cause close to home for our founder, Georgina. Her amazing, caring sister died of secondary bone cancer after she fought off breast cancer and soon after, cancer struck again in the family as her beloved sister-in-law died of stomach cancer. Georgina personally experienced the disease when she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Cervical Pre-Cancerous cells around ten years ago after her smear test. Fortunately, as it was discovered very early on, the cells were removed quickly – to put it simply, the smear test had saved her life. Many of us know somebody who is affected by this terrible disease, has gone through it themselves or is even going through it at the moment. Our prayers and thoughts are with those of you who are going through it right now. Please stay positive because you can beat it. In our staff team alone, we have two brave cancer survivors so we will do all that we can to raise the £5,000 target that we set for ourselves when beginning the campaign. We’re asking our customers and followers who can to donate £1, £2, £5, £10 or even £20 to support us in our efforts enable Cancer Research UK to find cures for all types of cancer.
