This afternoon, I took Alessio to Aintree Hospital to drop off some presents to the staff who helped and looked after him very well during his recent operation.

Alessio smiled all the way to there as he knew that this will be the last time he set foot in this hospital because he had been discharged from the ENT department after the operation.

The staff at the Pre-op assessment unit, Day surgery unit, Theatre, Recovery room and ENT consultant had went above and beyond their job remits by accommodating Alessio's additional needs. I am eternally grateful for their help and co-operation. It was through joint partnership working that Alessio had a speedy recovery without complications and minimal stress.

From having 10 consultants, Alessio now has 1 only, what an achievement!!! My aim is to continue to get Alessio better so that he won't need any consultant at all. It won't be an easy road but I know we will get there one day.
