Yesterday, I had my 2nd cataract operation to remove the cloudy lens. I didn't stay long at the hospital as I was the first patient to go in for surgery so I got home by 3.30pm. After a quick lunch, I took a few photos to remind me of this day and then off to bed.
.
This morning, to my shock and horror after removing the eye patch, I couldn't read anything at all including my mobile phone and computer, however I do now have almost perfect distance vision. Prior to these operations, I had very poor distance vision, so bad that I wasn't allowed to drive.
.
I panicked and tried to solve this major crisis including trying all the old glasses like a dozen of them without success.
.
By afternoon, I was totally stressed out and luckily my husband thought my reading might have been improved from these two operations, so suggested to look for a pair of reading glasses temporarily. Off we went after lunch and searched a few places, voila, I found a suitable pair of glasses that enable to read from my mobile phone at Adsa. When I got home, these glasses worked for the computer too, hooray! What a relief, now I just need another pair for close reading.
.
A temporarily crisis resolved whilst I wait 4 weeks before seeing my optician for a new pair of bespoke varifocal glasses.
