Last night, we attended the new year's eve party here and it was brilliant from start to finish. 

A sumptuous hot and cold buffet was served but most of all, desserts to die for, absolutely delicious😋 😋 😋.

Followed by a great male vocalist singing fab songs as many danced the night away including my young man. He has so much fun dancing with different people. Most of all, he wanted to stay to welcome 2026, as we didn't last year due to us both not feeling too well. I am aching all over due to all the dancing.

With Autism, Alessio is hypersensitive to noise and he wears ear defenders but he won't let his disability stop him from having fun. Like mother like son! l spent two decades helping him to overcome his fears and phobias. 

Alessio started to exhibit these at around 2, eg: like hiding in a room in his own birthday parties and had a panic attack when people sang to him. I didn't know the underlying cause but recognised his distress, so l started to find ways to reduce noise level and de-sensitivise his fear of the crowd.  

Alessio has overcome many of his phobias and fears via my work with him. 

A few years ago, he attended the first party here in the holiday park and for the 1st time, he enjoyed himself, as he felt so comfortable in such a supportive environment. THANK YOU to all the staff and owners.

His confidence has grown massively since we have been in this holiday park because so many lovely people took the time to talk to him making him feel loved. This is the only place where he feels safe to go out on his own! For those who doesn't know Alessio, he is the one who's riding the tricycle on The Green and this afternoon too. 

I was told Alessio wouldn't live past 1 and he is 22 now. Also l was told he will never speak, he is able to have a basic conversation. Moreover l was told he wouldn't live past 30 due to the 5 forms of incurable epilepsies but l managed to cure them all.

With love, dedication, understanding and a few magic ingredients, Alessio has achieved so much and is living life to the fullest. Miracles do happen so don't give up as nothing is impossible.
