I need to let this out before I explode.
My property sale has collapsed again — just 2 weeks from completion, contracts ready to be exchanged. The buyer got cold feet because they'd rather live with their parents, after stringing me along for nearly 4 months, despite being informed the sale HAD to complete by end of August before my mortgage expires.
.
I trusted this buyer. I turned down another offer £6,000 higher because I believed they were serious. Watching it fall apart anyway broke everything in me — I went from wanting to scream to sobbing, and had to crawl into bed for a nap just to stop shaking. This is the second time this has happened; the first sale collapsed last year after 5 months too. Over 1.5 years of this. Two buyers who wasted my time, my energy, my money — and I'm still paying my lawyer through all of it.
.
On top of that, I spent this morning fighting back tears over a £1,000 for 8 months only OVO Energy bill for an empty property, yes empty now escalated to the Ombudsman.
.
I'm exhausted and genuinely scared about the costs piling up while I try to sell, and I now have to beg my mortgage lender for an extension. If anyone has been through this nightmare, please — I need advice, or just to know I'm not alone in this.
.
Today has truly been hell. 💔
