This afternoon after l returned from work, we headed out to see whether the delicious organic apples in our holiday park were finally ready to be picked. After about half an hour of walking, I finally spotted a tree covered in beautifully ripe, stunning red apples! 🍎❤️
Of course, there was a little challenge involved… the tree was on a hill, so some climbing was required! 😂 I jumped up onto a low concrete wall and carefully climbed up to reach the apples.
Alessio was in charge of picking up the ones I accidentally knocked down, which had him laughing his head off as he chased after the apples rolling down the hill! 😂🍎
We managed to pick several dozen apples and happily shared them with some of our neighbours, who really appreciated them. ❤️
We’ve been picking these organic apples for many years, and Alessio will only eat these ones. He refuses supermarket apples, even the organic ones from Abel & Cole! I’m exactly the same, so we always look forward to this time of year. We’ll definitely be back for more next week! 😁🍎
I now have enough apples to last me for a whole month — hooray! 🎉🍎
On Monday, I’m also going to collect some grapes and plums from a lovely lady who lives near my house. She has had a bumper harvest this year and is kindly offering the fruit on Facebook rather than letting it go to waste. I’ll definitely be taking her some of our apples in return. 🍇🍑🍎
I truly believe that kindness costs nothing, but it is priceless. ❤️
Have a fabulous weekend, everyone! 🌸😊
